Letter from Asma Jahanglr, United Nations Special Rapporteur to Ambassador Kevin Moley re: Reports of Extrajudicial Killings, Torture and Civilian Deaths by Coalition Forces in Iraq

This letter is from U.N. Special Rapporteur of the Commission on Human Rights and Extrajudicial, Summary or Arbitrary Executions Asma Jahanglr to U.S. Ambassador Moley, the U.S. Permanet Representative of the U.S. to the U.N. in Geneva. the letter is a follow up on three (3) previous letters Mr. Jahangir sent to the U.S. concerning reports of coalition forces in Iraq abusing, torturing and klilling civilians and others outside the laws of war and military engagement. Mr. Jahangir states"a nubmer of deaths in custody which have occurred as a result of degrading and humiliating forms of torture." and requests a lists of suspected extrajudicial killings committed in Iraq. Also requests information as to the role of private firms in interogating and guarding prisoners.
